One of the biggest movies of 2025 so far, Sinners, is coming to digital platforms tomorrow. So if you’re one of the few people who didn’t get to see this hit horror movie in theaters, now is your chance to watch Sinners at home.
Written and directed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Ryan Coogler, and starring Coogler’s frequent collaborator Michael B. Jordan, Sinners is a period piece, an action flick, and a supernatural horror movie all rolled into one. Jordan stars in dual roles as twin brothers Smoke and Stack, who return to their hometown in the Southern U.S. in the 1930s. But instead of a welcoming committee, they discover a great evil waiting for them. Also starring Hailee Steinfeld, Miles Caton, Jack O’Connell, Wunmi Mosaku, Jayme Lawson, Omar Miller, Li Jun Li, and Delroy Lindo, Sinners was a bonafide box office hit. The movie has made over $350 million at the worldwide box office, making it one of the top-earning films of the year so far. Now, Warner Bros. hopes to make even more money with the premium video-on-demand release.
Here’s what to know about where to watch the Sinners movie online, and when we expect to see Sinners streaming on HBO Max.

Sinners is not yet available on a subscription-based streaming service, but we do expect to see the Sinners movie streaming on Max, free to Max subscribers eventually, because Sinners is a Warner Bros. movie, and Max is the streamer owned by Warner Bros.
If you’re new to Max, you can sign up for as low as $9.99/month with ads, but an ad-free subscription will cost $16.99/month.
If you want to stream even more and save a few bucks a month while you’re at it, we recommend subscribing to one of the discounted Disney+ Bundles with Hulu and Max. With ads, the bundle costs $16.99/month and without ads, $29.99/month.
When will Sinners be streaming on HBO Max?
The Sinners movie Max streaming release date on has not yet been announced yet, but we can make an educated guess based on previous releases. Mickey 17 for example, was released on PVOD about one month after opening in theaters, and began streaming on Max a little under three months after it was released in theaters. If Sinners follows a similar release pattern, you may see the movie streaming on Max around mid-to-late July 2025.
But that’s pure speculation. The Warner Bros. home releases have varied by title, and Sinners stayed in theaters longer than Mickey 17, so you may need to wait until August or September to stream Sinners on Max. In the meantime, you can always watch Sinners by buying or renting the movie online.
