Who Is ‘Farmer Wants a Wife’ Season 3 Host Kimberly Williams-Paisley?
Jennifer hailed from the music world, but Kimberly’s background is in acting. She caught her big break with her 1991 film debut as Annie Banks in Father of the Bride alongside Steve Martin, Martin Short, Diane Keaton and Kieran Culkin. Kimberly reprised her role in Father of the Bride Part II in 1995. She has since become known for dozens of other projects, including 10th Kingdom (2000), According to Jim (2001-2009), We Are Marshall (2006) and Shade (2006).
Fox announced Kimberly as the new host of Farmer Wants a Wife in December 2024, and she shared a statement about the casting.
“I enjoyed being myself in this show, which was a new experience for me with my first unscripted series,” Kimberly said. “Because I’m a city girl who embraced the country life when I married my husband twenty-one years ago, I related to the allure of a farmer for these ladies. I really appreciate how dedicated this show and its producers are in helping these hopeful farmers and women find love.”
Who Is Kimberly Williams-Paisley’s Husband?
Kimberly is married to country singer Brad Paisley. The pair first met when he asked the actress to star in the music video for his song “I’m Gonna Miss Her” in 2001, and the pair began dating soon afterward. They later got engaged in 2002.
“I surprised her, and we were completely alone out on the end of a pier in Venice in Los Angeles,” Brad told People of the proposal. “Nobody could really see us, and that was a safety net — in case she took off running down the pier.”
Brad and Kimberly tied the knot on Pepperdine University’s campus in Malibu, California, in March 2003, with all of their guests dressed in denim. However, this wasn’t the only time the couple exchanged vows, as they had a vow renewal ceremony at a friend’s house in March 2015.
“It was awesome,” Kimberly said of the ceremony at the 23rd annual “A Night at Sardi’s” gala for the Alzheimer’s Association that year.
Does Kimberly Williams-Paisley Have Kids?
Kimberly and Brad announced in 2006 that they were expecting their first child. The two later welcomed son William “Huck” Huckleberry in February 2007, revealing that he was named after Mark Twain’s character Huckleberry Finn.
The Father of the Bride star and her husband confirmed to People in October 2008 that baby No. 2 was on the way. “We’re having so much fun with our little boy, Huck, and we are thrilled that he will have a sibling. He’s going to be a great brother,” Kimberly said at the time.
Kimberly and Brad’s second son, Jasper Warren, was born in April 2009.
Why Was Jennifer Nettles Replaced on ‘Farmer Wants a Wife’?
Jennifer has not addressed her exit from Farmer Wants a Wife as of publication. However, fans have speculated that her replacement was due to a scheduling conflict following her reunion with Sugarland bandmate Kristian Bush at the CMT Awards in April 2024.
The duo released their EP There Goes the Neighborhood in August 2024 and promoted the project on a joint tour with Little Big Town from October to December 2024, which may have conflicted with Farmer Wants a Wife filming.
