Phaedra Parks made her dramatic exit from Married to Medicine Season 11, and while many of the ladies were shocked, Dr. Heavenly Kimes was not and does not think the Southern Belle is a good fit for the show.
“Phaedra does not want to come back to Married to Medicine,” Dr. Heavenly told Deadline. “I don’t foresee — anything can happen — but I almost can bet you that she would never come back. Phaedra is a great girl, beautiful woman, [but] I think, her value systems are a little bit different from ours. I mean, we’re married to medicine. We’re very family oriented, as far as like being a unit with a husband and wife. We’re doctors or doctors’ wives. I don’t think she ever fit in that capacity.”
Dr. Heavenly and Phaedra regularly bumped heads but when Phaedra’s ex, Apollo Nida and his then-wife, Sherien Copes, joined a couple’s trip, Phaedra decided it was time to throw up the deuces.
Phaedra has since rejoined the cast of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, although her episodes won’t air until close to the end of season 16.
“I think it was an area where she was being tested to see how the audience would respond to her after her tragic end [from leaving RHOA] the way that she did. She’s been on a lot of shows as an extra or friend, but this was the first time the opportunity came where she could be a full cast member,” Heavenly added.
Married to Medicine aired its Season 11 finale on Sunday, March 16 at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
