ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Albany police are currently investigating an alleged stabbing incident that occurred on Friday night, according to the department. The incident reportedly took place in the area of Madison Avenue and South Allen Street.
Officers responded to a residence on the 1100 block of Madison Avenue at about 8:30 p.m. for reports of a stabbed individual. Upon arrival, authorities found a 25-year-old male with stab wounds to his back, the department said.
The victim was treated on scene before being taken to Albany Medical Center, according to police. He is reportedly listed in stable condition.
An investigation into the incident allegedly determined that the victim and suspect got into an altercation outside before the stabbing. The two knew each other, police said.
