*Grammy-winning rapper Lil Nas X has been charged with four felonies following a tumultuous encounter with police in Los Angeles last Thursday.
The 26-year-old artist, known for his chart-topping hit “Old Town Road,” was arrested after a series of erratic behaviors that culminated in a confrontation with law enforcement, Daily News reports.
We reported earlier that Lil Nas X was spotted wandering nearly naked through the streets around 4 AM. Dressed only in underwear and cowboy boots, he was captured on video engaging with pedestrians and even balancing a traffic cone on his head. TMZ reported that the “Montero” star, whose real name is Montero Lamar Hill, told some onlookers he was heading to a party.
As his behavior grew increasingly erratic, police and paramedics from the LAPD and the Los Angeles Fire Department intervened. During the encounter, Lil Nas X reportedly stripped naked and charged at responding officers, injuring at least three. He was briefly hospitalized for a possible overdose before being taken into custody.
Authorities charged him with three counts of battery with injury on a peace officer and one count of resisting an executive officer. Held without bail over the weekend, the rapper is scheduled for arraignment on Monday, where bail is expected to be set.

This incident follows a period of personal and professional turbulence for Lil Nas X. Earlier this week, he cleared his Instagram account before posting teasers for new music, including a track titled “Black Horse” and a collaboration with Lil Jon called “Kimbo.” His social media activity resumed after months of silence, following an April hospitalization for partial facial paralysis.
The rapper, who first gained fame with “Old Town Road” and its Billy Ray Cyrus remix, is anticipated to release his new album, “Dreamboy,” later this year.
